Assalam to all frenz..
To begin with ..ALHAMDULILLAH! ada jugak la blog walaupun tak canggih mcm org
lain. Tak pa..kita repair la pelan-pelan. kerja banyak bukan yg tu saja. Anyway
after 4 months being a PPG student, I should say that we need to sacrifice a lot,
coping with school work and our family, though. Especially when the deadline of
assignments are just around the corner. Tidoq pukui 2 la jawabnya...

9 of us - that means 7 kids n parents. The eldest is 20 n the youngest is 2. So grateful for my
kids are doing fine in their study. The eldest is a nurse in Hospital Ipoh. She started her job at
a very young age. At first we thought of she becoming a teacher too, but it turned to a nurse.

A career woman, a mum and a wife

PIBG Secretary- it's a tough job, believe me!

My hectic schedule begins as early as possible. It starts when everyone is still sleeping and ends after eveyone is lying on the bed. It's a tough job when you have to do all housechores all by yourself. I should tell this- I'm a mother of 7 children. No bibik around. Then it's time for your work. Teaching English in 28 periods a week- you have to teach other subjects too. Don't forget those Pendidikan Seni and Pendidikan Jasmani. A class teacher too. Hmm..what else? Setiausaha PIBG. Never mind that's why I applied for this job 20 years ago- so DO IT!

Challenges in being an English teacher

English Language education in Malaysia is again in the focus of attention. It is a good thing that there is a great concern for Malaysians to be proficient in English. But lately it sent an alarm bells to a group of primary school teacher that they are going to teach English Literature as a single paper. The main concern is that we are still strugling in teaching Mathematics and Science in English yet this a new component is coming through. There is still unsure about any findings made by researchers from university academics on the implementation of the literature component in classroom teaching in both primary and secondary school levels.
However there have been some piecemeal researches done by graduate students which sees to suggest that teachers generally feel less threatened to teach literature now and preparing students based on the present exam format.
There have been complaints that our students are being overburdened at school. Do they need yet another subject?
I dont't think so.
